Former White House Chief Floral Designer – Laura Dowling

Paris-trained, Laura Dowling learned French floral design then extended her education in Germany.  When the opportunity to become the Chief Floral Designer at the White House was offered in 2009, Laura applied and won through a highly competitive process.  She managed White House Floral Design for thousands of official and private events including state dinners, receptions, and large-scale installations including the iconic White House Christmas displays.  Laura served from 2009 – 2015 and wrote a book about her experiences.  She has great stories to tell!
